Smile back. That is why smiles are given because they are very contagious. Yes it has happened to me often and I like it. People are at the very least interested in something about me or they wouldn't stare.

Dip your finger in your drink, follow the out line of your lips and place your finger in your mouth sucking off any remainder slowly, all the time staring directly back.

Either you'll embarass the person staring, or you may be approached by that person who is showing interest in you.

If your interested that is.

Other wise stare directly back annoyed looking and glance around the room trying not to give him any further glances.

Well, if someone start staring it could be that they're checking you out (if its a guy) or wondering were you got your outfit from and who did your hair (if a girl). But if they stare longer than 10 minutes maybe they're day dreaming. But when somebody stare at me for a long time i usually smile and wave (it makes them feel stupid and embarrassed).

Oh God yes. It happens a lot.The reasons will vary. Sometimes I think it's me and I try to smile, and then it turns out its someone in back of me.....:(. Other time it's people who are real snobby and I can tell they are trying to start something so my companion and I start to look them up and down, and start to laugh at them.

If they smile while they do it then sometimes we end up talking to each other. This is mostly at coffee shops mostly

It happens to me alot too . It is very uncomfortable. Just stare back at them the exact way they are at you and show them how feels to be stared at.

if it is a woman and she smiles then i'm loving it. that has happened. once several people were staring at me and my thought was that they might think they know me. that was the case because they asked me if i was this certain person and the answer was no.

depends on who is staring at you

If it looks like a creep that is staring at you, then you should definitely avoid the person.

If the person looks friendly, then you can stare back and smile.

I would just look away, try to see what they're staring at, or if it is a little child, wink at them. You could try anything you want.
